A long drive, to a great new race site... We came home with a 4th place finish in Pickwick Landing, Tennessee after a race long battle between Brian, Jim Whittington, Howie Nichols, and George Galloway all fighting for the 2nd and 3rd positions.

We're back from our second race of the 2004 season. Brian managed a strong 2nd place finish after a great battle with Howie Nichols. Eventually, Brian managed to pass Howie and went on to chase Michael Floyd but was unable to catch the Hooters sponsored boat. Our next race is July 17-18 in Tennessee...

We're back from our first race of 2004, in Chattahoochee Florida. It was an interesting weekend, ranging from a DNF in the first qualifying heat (due to a prop falling off) to a win in the next heat. Also adding to the interest was the live snake we found in the boat... We'll have more information soon!

The year end award ceremonies and banquet for the APR Powerboat Superleague were November 7-8 in Red Top Mountain, Georgia. Brian finished the season with a tie for third in the points with Howie Nichols. This is the highest finish ever for a Canadian in the series. Brian was also awarded the "Canada Cup" for being the top Canadian in the 2003 series.
October 20, 2003
The final race of the 2003 season was October 18-19 in Altamonte Springs, Florida. Brian managed to hold on to a third place finish after developing a hole in the boat part way through the final race.
September 18, 2003
The fourth race of the 2003 season was in Buckeye Lake, Ohio. Despite a spin and the rear cowling coming off of the boat during the final, Brian still managed a 5th place finish.
August 25, 2003
The third race of the 2003 season was in Aurora, Indiana. Brian finished a best ever 2nd place after qualifying 3rd.
Michael Floyd won the race after a blowover by leader Neal Haraway.

The second race of our 2003 season was in Pittsburgh, PA. Brian finished 3rd after qualifying 4th.
This result places him 3rd in the point standings.

We're back from our first race of the season in Marietta, Ohio.
After qualifying 2nd, Brian managed a 5th place finish after a re-start with 8 laps remaining. He had been running in 4th place until the re-start.

The Lone Star Racing team (Brian and Rainer) attended the Sirius 400 NASCAR race this weekend in Michigan as guests of MRO (Motor Racing Outreach). It was a great (and hot) weekend of wandering around the pit and garage areas, and then watching the race from the top of the MRO truck with Matt Kenseth's father.
We're still waiting for our racing season to start...
